La verdad nunca pensé que este momento llegaría, aunque siempre lo soñé, siempre soñé con tener mi banda y poder cantar en Ingles y hacer música que parezca britpop o indie, o algo de eso, y esta banda lo a logrado, se hacen llamar “Hox” y son provenientes de Argentina(vamos carajo!!!), mas precisamente de Rio Negro, Bariloche, hacen musica desde octubre de 2008 y los integrantes del grupo son tan solo 2, los chicos se llaman Diego Pitriqueo (guitarra y voz) y Gonzalo Garcia Spitzer (Guitarra, Voz, Piano, Melodica, Arreglos y programaciones).Todos sus temas están en inglés y escritos por ellos, su música sinceramente me enamoro, sencillamente genial, su sonido esta inspirado en el sonido de bandas britanicas, sus influencias son bandas tales como Radiohead, Blur, Travis, Sigur Ros, Coldplay y Damien rice, y si la verdad que con esas influencias no puede salir nada malo, a mi su sonido me recuerda en general a bandas como Thirteen Senses, y obiamente consigo viene cierto parecido a travis, coldplay y demas, aunque estos chicos Argentos tienen un sonido mas feliz y motivador, hasta el momento han lanzado tan solo un album, su debut al que le dieron de nombre “who´s on my side?” y fue puesto en su blog oficial para ser descargado gratuitamente en julio del corriente año, todo el disco esta totalmente auto producido y da como resultado para mi, a la gran banda Argentina, sinceramente chicos todas mis felicitaciones para ustedes, me encanta lo que hacen, y nada mas…viva Argentina…

DIEGO - GONZA

FELIZ CUMPLE HOX!!

Y si. Pasó un año desde aquel primer encuentro en casa de Gonza, después de que respondió al aviso en los clasificados.
Hoy es un día felíz, como casi todos, y por supuesto lo pasamos ensayando. Los dos solitos con el piano y la acústica, haciendo nuestros temas y alguna versión de esas que me sorprende lo lindas que salen y que Gonza no quiere grabar, porque se "pierde" tiempo... ja!
Lo único que tengo para decir es gracias; A Gonza por el talento, la amistad (y todo lo que ésta conlleva)y el buen gusto que le pone a la música. A las chicas, por las voces y la buena onda y predisposición en los ensayos; Y a los amigos que nos apoyan todos los días, musical y afectivamente. Vero, Andy, Juan, Lucho, el Turco, Tommy.
A Pao, porque me deja ser Hox, y porque sabe que la música me hace mejor!

DIFUSIÓN DEL DISCO

Esta semana nos dimos una vuelta por las radios presentando el disco, donde hicimos un mini recital acústico. También una publicación en el sitio de PUENTES AMARILLOS, revista cultural.
Va un agradecimiento entonces a la gente en la revista, a Guadalupe y Nahuel en FM La Rocka 98.7, y a Lucas y su equipo en FM Bariloche 89.1 y Km FM 96.5. Muchas muchas gracias por ayudarnos en la difusión del disco. Un abrazo grande!

HOX - who's on my side? nuestro primer disco en dúo con Gonzalo Garcia Spitzer

Puse un aviso clasificado por el cual conocí a Gonza a finales de septiembre de 2008. Nos unimos con la intención de generar y producir un disco en inglés, inspirado en el sonido de bandas británicas. Los temas están compuestos y musicalizados por nosotros y el álbum se terminó de gestar a principios de 2009. Es un álbum hecho para compartir nuestra música, así que cualquiera lo puede bajar totalmente gratis. Espero que lo disfruten!

HOX ENSAYO

PAPÁ AL PIANO

Esta semana empecé a tomar clases de piano!!! SI, muy contento con eso ya que es uno de mis instrumentos favoritos en practicamente todos los estilos de música. Tengo un piano desafinado en casa, que alguna vez compré esperando este momento y bueno, finalmente me decidí.
Espero poder estar tocando algo en un par de meses ya que le pongo muchas ganas y me gusta, y gracias a Mariana la profe, que es muy didáctica. Entonces a partir de ahora también habrá algo de piano en este sitio para los que tocan, les gusta o quieren aprender como yo. Wish me luck!

HOX

El fin de semana lo pasamos ensayando y preparando algunos arreglos con Gonzalo. Esto es porque estamos ideando una presentación del disco, y queremos que sea algo "especial", lo que va a llevar mucho trabajo y algo de tiempo. También se estan sumando al proyecto en vivo Gabriel en batería, percusión y programación, Vane en voces y Ale Barrio en guitarras. Aprovechamos para divertirnos un rato e hicimos algunas fotos también, acá tienen un par! Abrazo.

MUCHA MUSICA!

Hey, hace rato que no escribo. Estas dos semana estuve ocupado ensayando con unos amigos algunos covers, y armando unos temas propios en castellano y estan quedando bastante rock!
Hacia bastante que no tocaba con una banda "convencional", y la verdad es que me divertí y me dieron muchas ganas de salir a tocar en vivo, así que si sale todo bien y nos armamos de algún tiempito para repasar un reper, sadremos.

Además, tengo unos buenos recitales para recomendar...
Hay un recital de Dave Matthews y Tim Reynolds en el Radio City Music Hall de New York que tienen que ver; es un acústico con lo mejor del repertorio de DMB y es excelente.
Y el segundo para recomendar es uno de Travis: More than us, en vivo en Glasgow.
Con eso y la discografía de Coldplay me entretuve bastante esta semana.
